Prophecies

I don't think many people realize, but most Bible prophesies about the Last Days have already been fulfilled.

It's important to realize not just to look at whether something has happened or not, but more importantly as to how active/frequent they are now. Bible prophesies about the Last Days show the birthing pains of God's Kingdom, so it's important to watch them carefully.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
- Luke 21:11 (KJV)

There have been several major earthquakes in the last few years. For example: Haiti, Japan, China, New Zealand, and many many others. New Zealand is placed on what is known as the "Ring of Fire" - a hoof-shaped 'ring' around the Pacific Ocean. This 'ring' has recently been very active. For example, over the last 2,000 years the number of volcanic eruptions was something like 35 per year. But as you read this, 35 volcanic eruptions are actually happening right now!

About 21,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations. This is one person every four seconds. Sadly, it is children who die most often. Yet there is plenty of food in the world for everyone.

I think that says it all really.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Matthew 24:14

This has already been fulfilled (or maybe 99.9%). You'll be absolutely amazed as to how far God's servants have traveled to fulfill this prophesy. For some the cost would have been high, and it's good to remember that sometimes.

And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
- Revelation 16:3 (KJV)

Yes, that's algae, but that's not the point. The point is that it's a reminder of what God can do.

The plagues don't necessarily fulfill themselves instantly. Some seem to be gradually increasing in strength, occasionally warning us of their imminent arrival.

Every single one of them is a reminder of what is to come.

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
- Revelation 8:7 (KJV)

Have you ever wondered that when people talk about climate change, they might actually mean God's Kingdom is coming, and that these are just the birthing pains?
