Everything from hell, evolution, rapture, etc, you name it. Everything has been twisted to prevent you from finding God.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

You've got to have a real "love for the Truth" to see clearly. You can pray for the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth) to help you with this.
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Bible
You might think your Bible is safe right? Especially with something like the Ten Commandments?
Consider the verse below from the second commandment (regarding idols).
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

But the NIV uses the word "punishing" instead of "visiting".
Now consider the verse below which clearly states that it is the soul that sins, who dies.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

The word "visiting" is correct, and the NIV translation "punishing" is incorrect. God will visit the children of those that sin, to make sure the sin hasn't returned again. But at the end of the day, each person is responsible for their own sins.
So please be careful what Bible you use, e.g. stick with a King James version, or buy one of those side-by-side Bibles if you can't stand the old English. It's well worth it.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

That should read "God was manifest in the flesh". Any Bible that does not testify to that is that of the "antichrist".
(It doesn't count when it says "appeared in the flesh", or "appeared in a body")
Lots of editing has been done over the years, so please be aware.
Evolution
Evolution is just a theory.
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

If you're trying to fit evolution into the six days, please remember that God would have never said "it was very good" when He was standing on piles and piles of bones. Also, remember that certain insects and plants were already "working together", e.g. pollination, etc.
A good question for evolutionists is "where are the bones?". Over 100 million years, even with only a fraction of the current population/animal growth rate, this place should be absolutely swamped with bones, but yet there are none. In fact, applying the current population growth numbers in reverse, suggests that the start of humanity was around the time of Noah.
The world is not so bad
From what you can see, you're probably right, but what happens in the shadows is just disgusting...
